    A Bit About Myself

I became a degree seeker, let’s say, as a mature woman. Obtaining a degree had always been a lifelong dream of mine; one that I believed, for a very long time, would be unachievable.

Fastforward thirty years, I had the opportunity to begin attending a community college. Class by class, I got into the college groove and felt my confidence rising. I also began developing a strong curiosity for psychology, social, and human behavior.

After earning my Associate degree in Psychology, and then my Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology, I knew I wanted more. This is when I chose the field of social work. Graduate school was not easy but ever so challenging and rewarding! In hindsight, had I not experienced life's discomforts and struggles, I do not believe I would have the level of understanding, empathy, and spiritual awareness that prevails within me today. So, it all worked out education-wise.

I'm honored to have helped so many beautiful women find healing and newfound meaning within their lives. And, I've learned so much from them.  Today, I'm here to support and encourage more women. I'm here to help women explore and embrace their own definition of peace and balance. As a community, I'm also continuing to explore my own life path, a journey that is indeed perpetual.

Outside of my therapist role, I am a grandmother to the most amazing grandkids and take great pride in my adult children. I love traveling, claiming New Mexico as my second home and having visited Italy and other European countries several times with my husband. I love any opportunity that allows me to assimilate into others' cultures and lifestyles. I also love writing and will continue to be a perpetual learner.
